“Instead of wondering where your next vacation is, maybe you ought to set up a life you don’t need to escape from”

Veronica Santini

Vinyasa Flow

Biography:
I was born and raised in Italy, but I soon found out that national borders are invisible lines only there to be crossed.  After studying foreign languages and taking a masters degree in Intercultural Communication, I worked in culture and communication skills consultancy in London for three years.  In 2014 I decided to escape the corporate world to embark on a new life journey following my two big passions: travelling and yoga.  In June that year I completed my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa Flow with Vydia Jacqueline Heisel from Frog Lotus Yoga.  Not long after, I packed my bags and started a backpacking trip in South East Asia to deepen my yoga practice, teach yoga internationally and play acroyoga with wonderful people. During my trip I also completed a 60 hr Thai Massage beginner course at Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai.  Love, found in Bali, brought me to Holland in September 2015.  I see yoga as a journey of self discovery, a mean to create a deep connection with other human beings, the Universe and life and I believe in the importance of keeping playfulness and lightness in the practice.

Favorite asana:
Baddha Konasana – Butterfly pose

Why do you like to do this asana/what does it bring you?
This pose facilitates lengthening of the spine, stretching of the groin, inner thighs and hips and it allows me to turn inwards. I just close my eyes, allow gravity to take over and feel the breath. It feels peaceful and rewarding after a strong vinyasa practice.
