‘We are visitors on this planet. We are here for one hundred years at the very most. During that period we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives. If you contribute to other people’s happiness, you will find the true meaning of life.’ – Dalai Lama XIV

Nataliia Bortnichenko

Hatha, Yin, Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga

Biography:
I have been teaching yoga since 2002. During this period I have given many classes & workshops, organised retreats all over the world, shared lots of challenges & joy with my students, who often eventually become my friends.

Most of my knowledge I´ve received in Ukraine and India. But being a professional translator I was lucky to translate workshops of many western masters. My favourite yoga style is Hatha, but I often combine it with vinyasa, pranayama, meditation & yin yoga to calm down the mind! For 5 years I was working as a yoga therapist in ayurveda centre. That’s why during the classes I often explain therapeutic effect of the exercises.

I do my best to pay attention to every participant in a class and try to help with gentle hands-on corrections.
My goal is to help people to be healthy & happy and Yoga is an ideal tool to keep our bodies fit, minds clear & hearts open.

Favorite asana:
Pincha Mayurasana

Why do you like this asana / what does it bring you?
I´ve always liked Pincha Mayurasana since my first yoga class. After 18 years of practice it is still challenging & therefore captivating!
