‘Yoga is not a method of meditation but a way of creating a situation in which meditation happens’

Lahma Muris

Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative en Yin Yoga

Biography/Life Story

From her first yoga experience, Lahma knew that this is an endless ‘love affair’. Here, she discovered that she dropped her head to her heart to her belly.

She moved to New York and later Aspen, Colorado where her yoga and meditation journey grew deeper with teachers like Shiva Rea, Clive Sheridon, Ana Forest, David Williams, Sarah Powers, Jose de Groot, Anat Geiger and Paul Grilley. These teachers inspired her in her teaching and in sharing her experiences in movement, breathing, meditation and silence.

The most important experience in Lahma’s life is her time she spent with Osho in India. She lived and worked here for 10 years and did various yoga and meditation trainings. The silence and depth she came into contact with through her beloved teacher is the light in her life. She brings that silence into her yoga.

Lahma has a unique quality of making her students feel perfectly attended to. She does this by giving them very accurate feedback and support, and guides them to a suitable and perfect yoga practice.

Lahma is internationally educated and provides training sessions, workshops, individual sessions and classes around the world. Hatha Yoga, Hatha Yoga Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Yang & Yin, Yin Yoga, Slow Flow and Pregnancy Yoga. In addition, she provides meditation training (Active Meditations, Zazen), Inquiry Workshops and Body/Mind Balancing Workshops. And as a certified hypnosis coach, she likes to use hypnosis as a bridge to meditation.
