Yoga retreat in the Pelepponesos, Greece
In this increadible relaxing Yoga Retreat we will explore the various aspects of Yoga. For the early birds we start with mantras, pranayama, kriyas and a meditation during the sunrise – that special moment when the world briefly stands still.
After breakfast we wake up the body with a Hatha or Vinyasa practise, after which we have a delicous lunch together.
The rest of the day we relax! Lazing about, exploring the area, a quiet walk in the mountains, a relaxing massage or perhaps a private session (yoga or coaching) with Lahma or Margriet. In the afternoon you can go to the beach to experience the healing power of the sea.
In the early evening, Lahma and Margriet teach you a relaxing yin or restorative class, with hands-on adjustments to bring you deeper into the experience and let you relax even more.
After dinner with fresh local products, there is a light preparation towards the sleep, after which we end the day in a relaxed way.

Yoga Spot organizes this trip at Marathea, a beautiful estate in the Pelepponessos in Greece that is situated in unspoiled nature. Everything will be taken care of: booking of airline tickets, transfers, accommodation and care, plus the loving guidance of Lahma Muris and Margriet Verhagen on the yoga teachings.

What is a retreat?
To “retreat” means to “withdraw”. You let your everyday life behind to make time for yourself. This is a conscious choice: you don’t come for a holiday week with a packed programme, you choose to turn inward. You take the time for yourself, to withdraw, to deepen, to slow down, to reflect, to breathe…. It can be a period that brings you new insights and idea about yourself and/or your life.
It works best without too much distraction (read: laptop, phone, email). Yoga and the tranquility of the environment are supporting this. Also the healthy food supports this proces: we choose for food that feeds you and doesn’t just fill you. Thiis adds to a feeling of happiness. Your food can influence your mood, in a positive way. That’s why we decide to cook vegetarian food (vegan also possible) with fresh and where possible local and biologic vegetables and we don’t offer alcolholic beverages.

Lahma has the unique quality to see and feel the special needs of her students. As a result, she supports and guides her students to a suitable and joyful yoga practice. Lahma provides training, workshops, individual sessions, retreats and lessons all over the world in the field of yoga, meditation and body / mind balancing. She has a warm, sweet and powerful personality.
Margriet is founder and teacher of Yoga Spot in Amsterdam. She is a cheerful and energetic teacher who shares her passion for personal growth, mantras and yoga in an enthusiastic, optimistic and humorous way. She has sharp insights linked to her spirituality and she enjoys being outdoors.
