‘The things that excite you are not random. They are connected to your purpose. Follow them’

Armindah Meeuwisse

Vinyasa en Yin Yoga docente

Biography:
Born and raised in Aruba, coming from a beautiful tiny speck in the Caribbean Sea and raised by two different cultures has without a doubt shaped who I am, shaped what I love, and most importantly shaped the foundation from which I now continue to grow. Moving to Amsterdam five years ago has only contributed to that growth in the most incredible ways, truly my second home!

As a writer, yoga teacher and coach, I aim to inspire and motivate those around me to remain authentic, passionate and mindful within their actions, and choices. ‘Creating conscious communication’ not just towards others, but becoming conscious of the communication we have towards ourselves as well.

I discovered the undeniable power of body & mind for the first time through rock climbing, and even deeper through the practice of yoga. Finding that special balance between yin and yang, dynamic power and slow surrender, Astanga Vinyasa and Yin yoga, a magical discovery! Sharing this with others became a no brainer!

Completing my teacher training with Johan Noorloos, currently working on different courses, and ready for the next one! Never not learning, never not sharing! It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I share this discovery and journey with you!

Favorite asana:
Sadde Pose

Why is this your favorite asana?
A very unpleasant and challenging one for many, somehow brings me peace in having to fully surrender into it, allowing my breath to guide me in and out of the posture, welcoming space and openness with arms over head, ready to surrender and receive that which I need.
